If the community has to support it, we need to decide if we are supporting *this software*, or if we should have a new forum.

BPL has decided not to support this outdated software.

I think migrating to better software would make it easier for us to support people.

I'd love to know why this section was moved up to the top when it seems to me trip reports and trip planning ought to be the focus of a hiking site.

Because we have no admin access and requests to organize the forums are ignored. Having a BPL community forum would give the community some admins with access to make changes the membership would like to see.

Have people been given access though? Or is this just promoting the forum where we can tell newbs about the limitations of the current software?

Reading this thread on a phone is terribly confusing since nicknames are not shown on the mobile version.

And Doug isn't scary. He's just a microcosm of BPL in its entirety.
