Or, idk, pick a fight with me.

I've said my piece. This is where I quietly step down from the conversation. Take my opinion for what it is: opinion.

Everything I have written here has been considered. I think I have added to the conversation for the most part. Too bad somebody just had to say my website makes his head hurt and another guy had to claim I way overcharged on shipping. Other than that, it's been positive.

People also talk trash about Zpacks, Enlightened Equipment, Zimmerbuilt, and Gossamer Gear from time to time.

But those cottage companies aren't in multiple threads riddled with censored posts, bickering, and negativity.

Take the high road, it's better for your business and our community to answer with patience, or not at all.

Max, I still think you are reading too much into this thread, or my part of it. It's just not that bad. I am not the other companies you mention. I don't see people talking that much trash about them and I have seen other companies defend themselves. There's not even that much trash talk in this thread. I'm just not out of line here. You should take a hard look at what you've done to this thread.

Dan, i'm a college student with a Kelty. You're the only one with influence in this thread.

I don't understand what you mean when you say I'm the only one with influence here. I see Nick and the others as influential and equals. What do you mean? There's nothing wrong with a Kelty. :>) It's OK for there to be give and take. I don't like to see things out of control. We don't want to be wimps either.

Shouldn't that be your avatar? Someday maybe we can go for a walk you old fart. I get pretty cranky though!

I hope you'll read this as perspective, rather than an attack.

When I buy american stuff, it's a careful purchase. I am not rich. I'm a bike tourist before backpacker because of foot surgeries, so i'll have to use examples from there. My Revlate Designs frame bag and Inside Line Equipment default backpack were purchased for cycling because I liked the reputation, craftsmanship, and principles of the company.

Your company has good principles. Your craftsmanship is legendary. Your reputation should be stellar, yet, you don't have my respect (yet).

Your customers will, and often do, speak for you. If you think you're going to please everyone, too bad! But the majority is with you.

When one person complains about your website, you lose one customer. When you get involved in an argument on the forums that includes you berating or ridiculing users that disagree with you, you lose one hundred customers. The only way to win is not to play: your product will stand for itself.

Stop dragging these 6-page, NSA-blackout censorship threads on and on trying to fight the 1% who don't agree with your model and you'll gain a lot of respect, including mine and the users flooding my PM in agreement.

And, I might add, BPL will be a friendlier, more helpful, less confusing place!

Davey, of course you would support the delusional guy that said I charged $150.00 for shipping when it was $75.00.

There's lots of rattlesnakes in there Nick, but what else is new?

"Of course you would support the delusional guy that said I charged $150.00 for shipping when it was $75.00."

No, no. A paying customer is never called delusional. He was just poorly informed.

Max, PMs should be outlawed. They are death to discourse. Thanks for letting me know what's going on here. I'm glad all of these people can entertain themselves.

I'm not trying to sell packs, or gain any more respect than I might have. I'm not especially trying to lose respect either. Maybe you will come around. God, if people are reading this stuff and they already hate me it serves them well. There's not a single thread anywhere that people are forced to read. Are they PMing their friends and relatives to say go look at the new McHale thread? What a bunch of weannies. What a bunch of men with purses!

Or "impossible to inform." They do exist.

I meet a lot of people who are impossible to inform…

Dan, I never said I wasn't happy with you or was blaming you. I said I wasn't happy with my purchase. If you take personal offense at this, not sure what to tell you. I do blame myself for making the purchase. I'm not mad. Someone posted a question and I provided my feedback on the pack I have. You alluded to me and others making this thread take a bad turn. Again, I posted that my purchase wasn't worth it to me. I didn't slander anyone's character.

And I kept the stays longer, tried them out, and then cut them. To me, I didn't notice a difference. It was not the frame/stay length that made the purchase not worth it, just the overall pack.

I used to practice my tennis serve using a concrete wall. It never got me very far.
