For gourmands and slothful souls like myself who hate cooking: Amazon.com is offering a discount on Balance bars. Through May 31 thrifty shoppers may save $10 on orders of $39 or more (on Balance bars and some related product lines). Just add code “BLNCBECH” during checkout to receive the discount. An additional note on the promo code: rather than providing me with $10 off my order some sort of glitch gave me $39 off. It may be worth checking out sooner rather than later.

Wow, what a great deal: 18.2¢ per bar. I hope they don't catch this error, or at least if they do they give me the chance to back out. Thanks for pointing this out.

Lawton:
You probably ordered from a seller other than Amazon.com. After doing your search for balance bar, scroll down a bit and on the left side of the window, you should see a "Narrow by Seller" category. Then select "amazon.com," and it should work for you.

i thought the "non-amazon seller" was the problem, but i thought i made sure to only select amazon.com items the first time around. but "narrowing by seller" function is the way to go. did that, and (unless they change the billing) i've got 45 bars coming for like $7.84. thanks!

I couldn't get it to work either. I searched amazon.com but it said the bars are available from All Star Health. There wasn't anything on the left side about "narrow by seller". When I applied the discount code, it said that code does not apply to this item. Any ideas?

Ok, here's the missing info. I had to click on "health and nutrition" first, then "narrow by seller" and select amazon.com. I got 3 boxes coming for $6.99. Thanks guys!! I ordered chocolate peanut butter.

I just placed two separate orders of three boxes each and got the $39 discount on each order. 90 bars for $16.25.
In order to get the $39 off (instead of the correct $10) you must order three boxes to get over the $39 threshold.

Still works. $39 off with free shipping.
45 Balance Bar Gold bars for $8.33.

Just make sure you buy bars from "Amazon".

So which bars are good?

Comments on Rocky Road, Caramel Nut Blast, and Chocolate Peanut Butter?

Don't know but I have read that Amazon often ships Balance Bars that have expired… So check the expiration dates.

Mine expire in December. The three boxes should keep me cyling all the way through the summer.

Cool. What flavors did you get? I haven't had Balance Bars before but ordered: Caramel Nut Blast, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Chocolate Mint Cookie. Would have bought all Chocolate Mint Cookie but at the time they only had one box.
