So many trip reports have photos of places I've never been. It was cool to be familiar with your descriptions of the Narrows. That is the best time of year for a trip, too. Great report. I wish the photos had captions but I'm thinking that's Trail Groove's formatting and not your own.

Ted,

You wrote up a great article, thanks for sharing the link!

Zion looks absolutely amazing and it's one that I really want to do.

*I don't want to start a thread drift, but I will say this. It was refreshing to see your friend Jon in the photographs out there with you in the canyons. Why? We just don't see enough black Americans, or any minority groups, getting out into our nation's wilderness areas.

I do mental fist pumps when I see minority groups getting outdoors. We need more of that going on.

This is timely, thanks for the trip report! I am there in 4 weeks.

Eugene-

yeah, Jon is a great guy. I've taken him on a few trips, and i would be taking him on my JMT trip in august if it wasn't for his med school schedule.

Sounds like a great trip. I've come to love Zion (took all of 5 minutes).

Great trip report.

My familly is from the area and I used to spend my summers in the area.
It's been 30+ years and after your report, I'm itching to get back there.
