A thread-derailing post would be if you posted some trekking poles for sale and someone responded about, say, BSA's anti-gay policies, carbon-emission legislation, or went on at length about something else entirely.

People giving background on your history trying to sell such gear may not help you make the sale, but it is very much on-topic and potentially useful to a prospective buyer.

Ah, it now looks like our resident, anti-podal moderator has weighed in as agreeing the posts are relevant.

eBay is much more seller-centric than buyer-protective. Of course, almost no one on eBay will know or care why these poles cost 4 times Walmart's offerings. Oh, and they charge you listing and seller's fees.

I agree. When someone doesn't meet the terms of their own agreement with someone else I think it's helpful to know who that is so that I can avoid buying from them.

Sorry. You come across as a risky prospect. Gearswap is not so hard to figure out. Deleting all of your previous pots don't help your case out much either.

It's about the fact that you had a written agreement with a member here where you accepted his offer, and then you reneged, and then you tried to sell the same item here again. It was poor form, and then you whined about the fact that people were calling you out on your thread about it. Waaaa. I for one will most definitely avoid buying anything from you at any point in the future and suspect so will other folks. Gearswap requires people to keep their word. You have every right to refuse someone's offer, if you feel they are lowballing, but at the point you accept the offer you should have followed through. I also noticed you never apologized to the guy, either. That spoke volumes about your character.
