I have a SpinnTwinn and love it.
Here is my question. I submitted to GG but this is a busy time of year for them, so I wanted to see if I could stand on the shoulders of giants here on BPL.
I usually just pitch as per GG suggestions – 45" on the front, 32" on the back. But when it is a night with no real weather expected, has anyone had experience pitching on a super high pitch. I was thinking about 18" higher – so poles at 63" (my max I think) and 50"? key question is how long should the guy lines be for this. I was thinking about 5' on the side walls (front and back doesn't matter really) but perhaps that is too little?
Anyway, hoping against hope that someone has tried this and has good ideas? Love to be able to pin the ST down when weather is coming, but how about when it is not? I also do some beach camping and was thinking of something even higher like 72" and 59"? Let me know if anyone has tried to push the envelope on height and what it might mean for head clearance and guidelines.
Thanks
Ti
