So what's you solution to sand camping and pegs. The dedicated sand pegs weigh 40g each. I need a few for my Hexamid and they end up weighing more than the tent.

These will be used for a mostly dedicated sand trip (Larapinta Trail, lots of sand camping) I can take some small ti stakes for other surfaces.

I could use rocks I guess but wasn't sure if making little parachutes from light ripstop would be a good option too and have more holding power when filled up/buried.

Just not sure as traditionally people seem to use a free standing tent. The hexamid pitches on tension across the lines so I need something that will be good in the sand.
I believe it can get windy.
