Gang,
I am looking for a family sized dining fly — lightweight of course.
I have read some old threads — but they all seem to recommend products that are no longer in production.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good, lightweight, dining fly?

Campmor.com has silnylon tarps (by Equinox, although they don't say so).

Outdoor Equipment Supplier has some tarps that work well for dining flys.
Google MacCat tarps.
A dining fly is one of the easier things to sew yourself. Get some fabric from OWF or one of the other standard suppliers, then it's just a couple of long flat-felled seams and a hem on the edges. Maybe some grommets in reinforced corners, and maybe another grommet in the center depending on how you plan to rig it. Lots of places sell poles.
Alternatively, you can get one of those blue tarps at any of the home stores…they are cheap but not particularly light.
Depending on you family size these tarps from Integral Design make nice dining flys:
If weight is an issue you can get tarps at all sorts of sizes that weigh half as much at Zpacks
