I'm in the middle of my first MYOG project and just assumed that the 8d would cut well with scissors, but that's not the case. What is the best way to cut that fabric clean?

I cut the 8D with scissors – no problem – what was your problem?

I got the Kelly Green, which I was initially skeptical of, but now am growing fond of.

Well, "fond of" is maybe too strong…

I see they have grey, tan, and black on order, which is probably better – titaniumgoat.com

You need proper scissors for that. Fairly heavy ones as the fabric is so thin.
But a Hot Knife on 3-ply gaianst a steel edge is often better to prevent serious fraying at the edges.

I bought some Titanium coated Fiskars scissors for my Kelly Green 8D. It cut well but I did get some minor fraying at the edge. A hot knife would be best and is how I would cut the material next time.

Full size hard patterns or steel rule and wood burner (hot knife) we cut on melamene and after 6months it is showing minimal wear. Masonite or similar will work for the short term but don't burn your wife's kitchen table (again)

Thanks a lot guys, I ran out and got the titanium coated Fiskars and they worked perfect. Next thing will be learning to sew, and then hopefully this quilt will be finished Thursday.
