Find a bag with a pleated bottom…like for Craisins…and cut it off. The supermarket is full of these things.

This one wights .180 ounces.
It folds flat for easy packing. No moving parts. Unbreakable. It cost us nothing.
We don't end up squirting half a water bottle on the ground.
On long dry hikes, left over water goes back into the dog's water bottle.
It works for food (if flat rocks aren't available).
Dogs don't use a water hydrator. They use a water hydrant.

I very much doubt I could get my dog to use that thing from Bed,Bath… Someone gave me a vaguely similar gizmo ("Gulpy") some years ago and my dog just looked at it and walked away.
I cut the rim off a 3-cup Ziploc plastic container. 0.6 oz. It's for both food and water. Removing the rim makes the container flexible.
I trained my Springer Spaniel to drink from a sports top bottle. Hardly spilled a drop.
Mine would never use it. He's a stream, lake or Orikaso drinker only.

Looks like an oversized hamster water tube to me. Hard to imaging a thirsty dog would get that much water from it without getting frustrated.
My dogs drink from my Camelbak tube squirted in their mouth if there's no natural water source available. I'm carrying it anyway, so I may as well share :) Having said that, when I lived in Las Vegas I would outfit them with a pack and make them carry their own water… 2 litres each for a day hike plus 3 for me was way too much for me to want to carry alone!
