As I posted my Oware mid for sale, I started having doubts… should I do it and go for the Stratospire 2?
When you add floor and pole to the Pyramid, it weighs about 10oz more than the SS2. It does not appear to have more useable space and Mrs is still relatively iffy about sleeping in an non-enclosed shelter. The only downside is that I'm out of some $$$.
Shelter is mostly used in the Whites, Catskills and such.
What are you opinions?

That's sound advice but Mrs isn't entirely unhappy either with the pyramid. If we take the Mrs factor, what would be your opinions?

What made you start thinking about selling the mid in the first place? Was it the fact that its floor less? Something else maybe? If its just the non enclosed nature of the mid I'd have a conversation with the Mrs. and find out how much it bugs her. If she's happy with it and you are too, no need to spend more money on a new shelter.
Pole in the middle started bugging me after a while. There is less useable space than I would have hoped when two people are on one side of the pole. Slight Mrs factor. Just something isn't working for me with this shelter. Pretty excellent shelter I must add.
