I would be interested in that option as well. Seems more geared toward 4 season use.
Good for blocking what ever blowing stuff is in the air and maybe more importantly for trapping heat. Most folks carry bags that are on the lower limit and the heat trapped by the partial solid inner would increase your comfort level. Haven't ordered the Notch because I haven't needed it yet, but if it comes down to it, that's the one that'll get the job done for me.
Really, just get a Six Moon Designs Skyscape X (Cuben fabric) and save money and have a (nearly) fully double walled tent.
I'd put that up against any Terra Nova Cuben solo tent any day.
