Greetings my fellow backpackers!

I'm searching for light pot for me and my wife. Since we cook I think something in range 1..1.3 L would be good. I saw that pot with removable handle.
MSR solo pot
But hey, that handle can also be your spork! If you take your UL Ti spork and bend it a bit at the end of its handle it could be used as handle to your ultralight pot. Is there a design that does that?

Thanks!

I've never heard of anything like that, but that's a good multi-use idea

I'm not sure most Ti sporks would be able to support the weight of a full pot of water.

A bamboo spork, being less dense, but thicker, would much stronger in resisting bending, if you has a spork-handle-sized receiver on the pot. Or an angle attached to your bamboo spork.

Peter Vacco does that exact thing with his utensil. Works real well. Had to modify his own cookware.

Forget the spork. Ti tent stakes double as chop sticks.

(kidding of course)

I highly recommend the evernew 1.3L pot for 2 people. You dont want a pot with sharp edges when you put it in a pack, because it could cut your pack. You dont want to need an extra heavy stuffsak or bandana to wrap your pot, its just added dead wt.

Hi,

Titanium is very strong material. I'm sure ti spork can be used as 2L pot handle. In order to prevent bending, you can use it "vertically", and by the way, if you need two sporks (you travel duo), it is possible to make handle from both.
