My pack will be here tomorrow as well. It's so exciting—I didn't even know my frame was special or the bottom or that the back panel and the bottom of the pack was the same piece of fabric until Chris mentioned it in this thread. It's that sort of awesome dedication to the craft that makes me super excited about his packs.

Cool how much will this thing carry? Is that a pocket for a pad behind the frame?

Luke,

That is a pocket so you can insert a pad, etc. The U frame is removable as well, which is nice for when I don't have to carry a bear can.

The main pack is around 2700 ci, not including the big side pockets, back mesh pocket, and lid pocket. I told Chris I wanted a pack that could carry up to 30-35 lbs but was also able to be shrink down for lighter loads. I'm stoked with what he came up with!

Thanks for the pictures! Do you mind doing one of the lid and its pocket? And I'm assuming this is a drawstring closure–correct?
