CountyComm has just started selling some titanium whistles for $10 weighing in at 0.1 ounces according to the website.

(I am not affiliated with CountyComm, I just have bought stuff from them in the past and noticed these from their twitter feed)

I've been carrying a whistle for years and have never used it. I think it is time to par down.

The workmanship doesn't look that great. It looks rough around the cut out.

In any case, the whistler integrated into my sternum strap is lighter and simpler.

I remember that thread about some guy wanting to bring a titanium whistle to market. Thread did not go well as I remember.

no decibel rating given. pass.

Plus, that 0.1 ounce is the weight of the whistle. It comes on a 30-inch cord, and that probably weighs an equal amount. For weight concerns, it should be on a light fishing line.

Ben
Last time I bought a chick magnet (from eBay , highly rated seller) I ended up with a bunch of fat flightless canary looking birds following me and crapping all over the carpet.
(My cats were very pleased with them).
That is not the kind of chick I am after.

"You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together – and blow." – Lauren Bacall, To Have and Have Not

Practice for one day and you will always have a loud whistle with you.
