I made a winter tarp for my hammock. I stuffed the tarp in a sack and when I got to camp and pulled it out, the tarp was all wrinkled. Is there a way to un-wrinkle silnylon?

Jan 30, 2012 at 4:54 pm #1831915You can iron it on a very and I mean very low setting but it will be wrinkled again the next time you pack it. Fabrics wrinkle when you pack them, has no affect on the use though.
Jan 30, 2012 at 6:44 pm #1831970Let's say I iron it, should I store it in snake skins to limit the wrinkling?
Jan 30, 2012 at 6:53 pm #1831977Don't sweat the wrinkles. Snakeskins might help a little. But, really?
Jan 30, 2012 at 7:08 pm #1831985When silnylon is folder and rolled, it loses its wrinkles.
If left hanging on a line, the wrinkles remain.
Don't ask me why – maybe someone can explain it.Jan 31, 2012 at 8:06 am #1832162I've found a taut pitch to be more than adequate to smooth out the wrinkles…
