What do you put in the pocket?

I have a Montbell windshirt, about 4 years old now. I wear it a lot but I've never even tried to put anything in that sleeve pocket, the only pocket it has. I contemplated cutting it out (which would also get rid of the logo) but decided it wasn't worth the bother. I figure the pocket and the color (wine vomit) are worth putting up with for a truly versatile and extremely lightweight garment bought at half price!

I'm glad there's no "napoleon" pocket; for a woman anything in such a pocket will either interfere with certain anatomical items or be under the pack straps!

Dave Chenault would cut it off :)

Actually, I agree with doing that.

Any of following: iPhone for maps etc., iPod, sunscreen, and maybe thin gloves and / or a light.

UL Base-layer no but that pocket on my R1 top is where things that I must not lose or get wet live, Mini BIC and the tinder Car key and my drivers licence and Credit Card [ taped together neatly] along with a $20- note. You may need a lift back to your car and an offer to pay for fuel can work wonders with drivers you flag down

Sleeve pocket is for my lift pass, absolutely the right place for it, if my mid-layer doesn’t have the pass pocket I’ll sew one on

Of course if you don’t ski you would not have seen the utility of that tiny pocket
