Hi Laurel,
Thanks for letting me know about the problem. There was a glitch with my system but it should be all fixed.
Those of you who don't know, I ship worldwide. I recently had to raise my international shipping price to $10.00 that way packages could go Priority mail instead of First Class because a few packages have been severely delayed or lost. According to USPS "International Priority mail has more track-able information then International First Class Mail" I am not exactly sure why but the only thing I can think of is that International Priority Mail is tracked until it leaves the country while International First Class isn't. I guess the positive side to all this is now International packages will arrive faster, with less of a chance of being delayed or lost.
Thanks,
Lawson
Used the Glowire last weekend with our backpacking tarp set up.
Easy to tye, untye, and not trip over.
Thanks. I must get some more.
"Do you come here often?"
Hello All,
About a month back, I added a second reflective tracer to my Glowire cord to make it even more reflective. All I can say is wow is it bright. I can confidently say, its the brightest reflective cord on the market and with the bright orange jacket it sticks out like a sore thumb during the day too. I have probally already sold 100 hanks of this new stuff so quite a few of you already have it so anyone that does, I would love to hear your feedback.
Thanks,
Lawson
Any feedback on the second reflective tracer?
I bought some of this from you and used it last weekend to hang my food at night. Wow – does this stuff glow like neon at night! My friend was camping a little ways away in the woods and I got lost trying to find my way back to my tent. Next time I'll toss a line of this over a tree limb at dark and have no problem finding my tent with just my little headlamp. Good product, thanks.
I just received mine in the mail and really like the look of it. I will have a chance to test the reflective properties this coming weekend. The jars and dropper bottles are also really nice assortments at a great price.
By using a cord that is so visible at night, you may be showing the bear exactly where it needs to go to get food.
I was doing bear bagging for twenty years, and I used either black or dark green cords with dark food bags. I wanted to make it difficult for the little fuzzy wuzzies.
Then fifty feet away, I hung up decoys. This was typically an empty plain brown paper grocery sack, and it was tied up with bright white cords about 6 feet off the ground. I wanted the bear to go there first and waste its time while I threw enough rocks and pine cones at it to scare it away from the real food.
Now with modern bear canisters, we never get to have that much fun anymore.

That sounds like a lot of work.
Something worked.
I led group backpack trips in Yosemite for twenty years (before bear canisters), and we never lost any group food to the fuzzy wuzzies.

Thanks for all the feedback.
I am glad to hear people like this cord. Its been a work in progress and I think I have pretty much nailed it with the weight, strength and how bright it is during the day and how reflective it is during the night. Now I just need to figure out a way to get it on everyone's gear list : )
Anyone that has a hiking, backpacking, camping blog and feels like reviewing the cord please let me know. Send me your contact info and I will put a hank in the mail ASAP..
Thanks,
Lawson
I'm not a reviewer, but a consumer using real money I print right at h… well, real money. Is that $10/50' price still good? I chased a link and didn't find it.
I bought a whole bunch a couple months ago. It's absolutely wonderful stuff and I will recommend it to friends whenever I can. This new stuff must be super reflective as the old was already very good.
Used a bit of mine to add some reflective zipper pulls on my new Tarptent today. Fabulous! I need to use up what I have so I can order some of the new & improved glowire.
