    Some items I don't see:

    Stakes
    Groundsheet
    Pack liner
    Water containers
    Navigational aids (map/compass/gps)

If you are wearing trail runners do you need the sandals? What's the paracord for?

The sandals are for stream crossing and camp shoes. You know, I don't know if I *need* the sandals or not. I've never tried going with just one set of footwear…….. The Paracord is to hang food.

Nice list. The fleece pants are a little heavy. Maybe consider replacing them with something lighter. Also, the weight for your Mariposa plus with the liner seems a bit high. With a liner, mine is only at about 25 oz. I do have a small, but 30 oz. seems high to me.

Right now the pack is getting the stay upgrade. I hope to have it back next week, so I haven't actually weighed it yet.
Thanks to all for your feedback.

NIX the tent and use a tarp! 46.9 oz is a LOT!

NIX the stay from you pack

NIX the canister stove and take the lighter "fancy feast" version!

NIX the potable aqua TABS and replace with AQUAMIRA drops.

NIX the TP and Trowel. Easily managed. Dig with a stick, and use easy to find natural TP.

Good grief, NIS the SANDALS! Just get your feet wet when you walk across a river.

Go down to 1.4 Pounds of Food per DAY.
