Has anyone used the Colgate Wisp single-use tooth brush? I’m curious what they weigh and if they truly are single-use. It looks like you could probably re-use each one for quite some time, and it would probably be lighter than even the trimmed handle toothbrush some of us tote (and it has a toothpick built into the other end).

Your thoughts?

I found them to be a very unsatisfying brushing experience. The bristles are too short/stiff for me. You could reuse them if you don't brush too hard. I'll take a longer brush to keep my fingers out of my mouth also. They are not that cheap either for something that is essentially disposable. More plastic in the landfill.

The plastic pack of 2 weighs 14 grams. Sorry, I don't have the weight of a single wisp – they come in foil packaging and I don't have one open right now. I would guess a single wisp weighs about 1/3 of that or about 5g.

I was only able to get 2 uses out of a single wisp – both because I used up the dab of toothpaste and because the bristles bent all over the place rendering it mostly unusable. I agree with Ken – I would not use them on another trip.

Thanks for the feedback, folks! I happened past them in the store, and thought they looked pretty cool, but it sounds like that's a non-starter. Guess I'll have to break down and start drilling holes in the brush handle. What has this site done to me?

Same as above. They did not worked for me.

I'm thinking of drilling holes and probably cut the bristles in half. :)

Yeah, they do not last really well. I got three days out of one. So, they are fine for a weekend. Finger in the mouth? Well, it was not the first time and surly won't be the last…

Even the older finger brushes never really worked all that well. Soo, I just use some replacement heads from TUB(sp?.) Enough of a handle to hang on to, longer and finer bristles in the head. I don't bother with tooth paste. About the same weight and does a better job.
