Time to hit the trail

Matthew heading south after crossing one of many creeks. Trail runners were the shoe of choice for all who came.

Here we come.

John rockin the only cuben pack we would see all weekend.

Casey and Katharina clicking off the miles and soaking in the scenery.

Jesse, Katharina and Casey after crossing yet another one. Feet stayed wet. Sprits stayed up.

Sweet cabin set up in one of the private inholdings.

She might be small, but dang she walks fast.

Spring flowers, no showers.

Casey setting up camp at Spanish Flat.

Backpacking does not mean skipping good hygiene for Matthew.

Casey hanging with Joseph and his mom Lisa who were doing a yo yo of the northern half of the trail with Roxy their Pharaoh Hound.

Time to head home already? John packs up. It goes by so fast.

Making the most of the wide beach at low tide.

If you wondering what the rear end of a sea lioness looks like.

Almost smiling for the camera. She was pretty patient with us going by.

Time to get those feet wet once again. Walk up the creek to climb up the canyon wall back to some solid ground.

John, Jesse and Matthew onward an upward.

John and Casey

When I first started hiking this trail back in 2000 this was a dry ledge about 3 feet above the water. The trail has subtle differences every time I go out there.

One for Mike C!

Last stretch before getting to the end of another great hike with a great group of people. BPLr's are the best hiking companions I have ever had. Amazing how diverse backgrounds and personalities can get together and play nice. I can't wait for the next one!
