Carbon fiber lids!

Why?

I've been using the same lid cut from a baking sheet for a few years now. It weighs nothing, takes 2 minutes to make, and I can throw the whole thing in the fire without worry.

Carbon fiber lids seem to be nothing but backcountry bling to me.

Please don't (text whilst driving): isn't that illegal or count as equivalent of UKs "driving without due care and attention".

Agreed. Put a little piece of twine through aluminum foil lid and works great on the cheap.

"Formulated epoxy resin impregnated material with carbon fiber"

Melting Point = 100 degree centigrade(212 deg. F)

SECTION VI SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION

Epoxy resins in this product may cause irritation and skin sensitization. It also shows activity in vitro microbial mutangenicity screening.
Catalyst in this product may cause liver, nerve and kidney effects and blood disorder. It is not carcinogenic for mice of ether sex, or for femal rats, but is carcinogenic for male rats. Significance of the above information above is unknown.
There is no reliable information available for this product as whole mixture of the components, but potential for the exposure to the product should be reduced as much as possible.

They state that the melting point is 212 degrees. So I suspect the posiblities of epoxy resin components are likely to leech out and into the water condensing on the underside of the lid that is made of carbon fiber. The condensing water then drips off and into the mug/pot.

It was interesting to read that dust particles given off by sanding of a carbon fiber product can cause electrical shorting in electrical appliances due to the fact that carbon fiber conducts electricity.
