From what I can see of the rules, these are they:
"Announcements of online & local sales, coupons, etc. Commercial posts OK, but ONLY if you are announcing a sale or coupon."

The Clymb posts certainly are the former, and could even be stretched to satisfy the latter. Where is the discrepancy?

Are there good deals on the Clymb? Yes, if you hurry.
Has there been anyone who has been fooled by the personal links? I doubt it. And even if so, what was the consequence?
Has there been anyone harmed by the personal links? I can't imagine how.

All the posts I've seen are specifically identified in the subject line, enabling you to ignore them (except for those with OCD who have to click on everything to mark them as read).

Until BPL changes the rules, there can be no harm, no foul.

I really don't see the problem. For one thing…why would you NOT want to help someone out? Sure, you can sign up without following someone's link…but you don't benefit at all by doing it this way. However, if you follow the link you're helping out a fellow outdoorsman. Seems like a good idea to me. I signed up for the Clymb by following the link of a BPL member (I have no idea who it was). I'm glad I could help them out. Secondly, as mentioned earlier, if you have no interest…you're free to simply ignore the post.

For those who are ethically challenged, look up the term "Ponzi Scheme."

Bob,
They've changed that name –

Now it's "Madoff" – as in he "made off" with your billions.

Bob,
I think you are baiting…

Clymb is single layer, not even close to a MLM.
Jedd won't get a cut of any new subscribers I might recruit.
And Clymb certainly isn't promising anyone a cut of the profits.

… other than the fact that the people who enter early and intice others to buy are compensated. It is only a poor man's Ponzi Scheme.

nope. Not at all.

Theclymb is actually a great company. I can understand how some people are turned off by their marketing tactics, but I have had nothing but great dealing with them.

For the life of me I cannot see what all you are fussing over…..
Its a friggin' $10 voucher, not exactly a fortune.
Its a link to cheap gear!
This is one of those moments that I cannot believe the crap that people have problems with.
Goodluck with it.

Wow, really, this is the best we can talk about here? Bitching about whether someone gets a $10 voucher or something as such for 37 posts? Why don't you guys go look for some deals you can put up here instead? Just seems more constructive that way. And yeah, I am a prat but don't care. At least it is better than 97 posts for a $450 piece of kit that only 6 people are going to buy.

I was one of those who complained up above. But reading everyone's responses… I now agree the postings are done in accordance with BPL rules (even if they are kind of annoying at times), and are not ponzi schemes. My apologies.

Anyone has experience with The Clymb? The order processing until shipping seems so slow and they even dont ship it in promised date?
