Folks, I've been playing with the idea of abandoning my Heine pot/ziplock bowl combo for a straight walled mug pot which I can both boil water and cook/eat in without the unnecessarily difficult cleanup of the Heine pot. I've recently purchased a few IMUSA mugs from Walmart and have also been thinking about trying a more expensive titanium mug/pot. Before I decide on how much money to spend, what type of material to buy, etc, I was wondering if I could get some feed back on how people pick up their hot mug while eating their smashed potatoes, oatmeal, tea, coffee, etc.
Does your mug have handles? Do they fold? Do you use a pot gripper? Have you added a wire bail? Do you just use a glove/bandana? Have you added an insulating sleeve or fiberglass wick to your mug?
What pros/cons do you have with your choice for elevation of your mug to your lips?
Thanks for the help.
