My best friend Amy and I completed the JMT in September, 2010.
Food for the trip, 15 days, half to be sent to Muir Trail Ranch

Day 1, mile 0, heading to Tuolumne Meadows after being dropped off, I'm on the right

Day 2, mile 27.5, heading to camp past Donahue Pass

Day 2, mile 39, rethinking this lightweight philosophy, we were freezing!

Day 3, mile 44, Thousand island Lake

Day 3, mile 60, Red's Meadow, you may notice a set of poles leaning against the post. They belonged to a trio of girls who left them there by mistake. We never heard how they fared without them.

Day 4, mile 75, Lake Virginia

Day 7, mile 107, Muir Trail Ranch, THE best day of the trip, pure luxury! I really want to go back here.

Day 9, mile 126, Wanda Lake

Day 12, mile 173, Dollar Lake

Day 13, mile 176 Above Rae Lakes, friends Mark and Isaiah met us at Dollar Lake, after climbing over Baxter Pass to complete the trip with us and bring us the rest of our food, and Icebreaker hoodies, thanks guys!!!!! We met Beverly along the way.

Day 14, mile 211 Mt. Whitney, we made it!

Day 14, mile 211 Mt. Whitney

Day 15, mile 215 Trail Camp, we were really not looking forward to that 8 miles down to the Portal.

Day 15, mile 223 Mt. Whitney Trailhead, Whitney Portal, yes!

It was a great trip made even better with all the help from this forum. Our gaiters were the talk of the trail, along with our packs, the JMT Atlas, and the rest of our lightweight gear. Full trip report to follow.
