I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this sort of inquiry, but, if not I'm sure it will be moved to correct forum.

Can anyone on staff comment on the plans to review the MSR Dragontail?

It looks like a good solid, single-wall, storm worthy tent.

I see it's on sale at Altrec.com for $335!! Retail is $480.

Marcus Demuth did his record circumnavigation of the Falkland Islands by sea kayak with one.
The Falklands are famous for the constant strong winds.

He told me that it was bombproof in the worst conditions.
His only gripe was the noise, but he got used to it. They can be noisier than other designs in hard wind, but handle the wind better.

I started looking at this tent recently and was wondering if anyone had experience with it. It's available on Amazon right now for $367. It's also an updated version compared to what is pictured above.

I am considering it as a more livable alternative to a BD firstlight or hilite with their separate vestibules. At 4 lb 12 oz, it's not too much heavier.

Has anyone used this tent? What did you think? It seems to have a huge volume/footprint ratio. It seems like you could almost have three people sit inside, where the firstlight/hilite are painful for two to sit in. The vestibule seems just large enough to cook in because of the way the hoop poles are angle outward.

Oh how fun. Tunnel tents. I never see them out here. Unless you count Moments. That vestibule is huge.
