Any solutions for a fitted lid for one of these mugs? I see they make a lid for the double wall version.

That Snow Peak lid fits both the double and single wall mugs. Very high quality lids which fit precisely. But if you are thinking of boiling water in your single wall mug, I'd suggest using tin foil for the lid, as I'm sure the SP lid would warp/melt when heated up. I'm a big fan of the SP 450 double wall mug and lid–it keeps my coffee warm for nearly an hour.

if your looking for something for boiling (I use the 450 single as my primary solo pot), four dog stoves sells ti lids that look like they come from the factory :)

for drinking- the SP ones will fit either 450 mug

Thanks. I wonder why SP description does not state that fact.

I heard Don stopped making lids.

"I heard Don stopped making lids" – that would be too bad :(

As of November of this year, he responded to my inquiry with this..

"Thank you for intrest, I also make lids from titanuim for the SP450,600 and 900 pots.

Burn twigs, not petrol;

D. Kevilus"

This was after I had also heard he stopped making lids, I emailed him about a lid for my Trek 700 and that was my response.

sounds like a guy definitely should shoot him an email if you need a lid :)

Thanks all. I am going with the SP lid. I had a lid from Don for a SP600 mug. Won't go that route again.

Would you care to elaborate, as in was there an issue with the lid or something else?

I only ask as I'm looking for lids for my SP450 single and twin wall mugs and my SP700, I already have a lid for my 600 from Tinny (who was great to deal with).

I think Ken and I had the same issue of really low production quality with the 4-Dog lids. Maybe there were some production issues since other people refer to them as production quality. Mine looked like I'd recommend going with Tinny if he's making one for the 450 mug.

+1 with Don I use an Evernew 750 ml Pasta Pot now. Great lid. 3.3oz with lid.

I purchased a SP600 lid from Tinny and it was fine. I wasn't blown away with the quality, it appeared handmade with simple rudimentary tools, but the lid did fit well enough with little play. I don't own this pot and lid anymore, but if I could go back I would've just used a piece of tinfoil like I used to. The Tinny designed lid doesn't snap on the pot top and secure the contents like the MSR Titan kettle does, it's merely a lid for boiling. Originally I was wanting a pot lid that also could secure contents inside while stored in my pack, but the Tinny lid doesn't do so.

here’s the one’s I own- 900, 600 and 450; the 900/600 are aluminum- the 450 is titanium

while the aluminum ones fit and work very well, the new ti ones he’s making look like they come from the SP factory- I drilled the holes in the 450, probably not as neat as could be (pretty sure you can have this done by 4 dogs if you want)

they are form fitted, so a thin rubber band around the works keeps everything in
