Wool hoodies

Sherpa’s facebook page indicates a MSRP of $90 and a weight of 17.5microns. That puts it slightly lighter than the BPL Beartooth correct?

17.5 microns just means how thick the wool is. still comes down to the weight per metre2 of the fabric. the weight is very similar on the website

I just received my Hooded Indie – Small and was extraordinarily pleased to find it weighs 234 grams (8.25 oz) which is almost what BPL claims is the weight of the Beartooth Hoody – Medium; 232 grams (8.20 oz).

The Minus33 hoody is back. It's not UL or technical, but it's merino wool. 28 ounces in a size large.

This is out of the realm of use that you guys are referring too, but empire canvas works makes a neat wool "boreal" hoody. Very large, 20 ounce wool. A winter hoody.

And yes they are nice,I don't know why they stopped making the mens version last year called Robin Hood,I bet if you could have read what they had said about that one Doug you couldn't resist either.

I just spent three days on the AT in Shenandoah and during the day was using just this and at times would throw a nanopuff pullover on. temps were 28 – 33ish

Perfect combo – never got cold or hot.
