I just saw that the Downlight Sweaters have been restocked again for $41.99 with Medium, Large, and XL sizes in stock as of 2:30AM Pacific. Hope this helps someone!
Thanks Greg. They have indeed added lots of sizes. I'm tempted to get one but decided against it because of all the extra annoying costs that come along with being in Canada.
The way Eddie Bauer has it set up, you pay a $3 handling fee and then you pay the same 12% tax twice (once they call it duty and once they call it HST) and then their conversation into Canadian currency sucks, and then you pay $11 shipping. When the dust settles the total is $75 instead of $41…nearly double. It's still a good deal but I don't really need one.
It seems like they update their inventory in the mornings which is nice if you are looking for those elusive medium or smalls to try.
I looked at the site after I woke up this morning and got my large!
Sweet. Just got my large too. Thanks for the heads up.
M and L sweaters are sold out again.
Managed to get a L this AM. Never had a down jacket before so a great, INEXPENSIVE way to lighten my pack weight. Thanks for sharing.
Managed to get the sweater in medium, but not the vest. The vest was an even better bargain than the sweater. Ah, well.

Looks like I missed it! I bought a Tall XL down sweater a few weeks ago, but it's a bit big on me. I think the Tall L would be perfect. If anyone happened to get a Tall L and would like to swap it for a Tall XL or sell it, let me know.
try calling customer service if you can't see the size you want. I was able to get some XL's in the sweater and vest when it said only XXL was available on line (in the sweater).
According to the sales person they will update their inventory periodically throughout the day during the weekend and thus its worth calling at 8am around 12pm and around 5pm to check for updates to inventory due to returns, etc.
Also, if you are a EB member check to see if you recieved the $10 member certificate online b/c i was able to get another $10 off my sweater. can't beat $31
cheers,
Brendan
I ordered two jackets for my kids a day or two ago and just decided to get a vest for myself.
It was too late to add it to my existing order so they waived shipping on the vest.
Sweet! I've been in need of a vest, especially for salmon fishing this fall; nice to not have sleeves to get wet.
Call it in and ask for free shipping — No need for a code. They gave it to me!
Stock is still changing throughout the day on this stuff. Ordered the sweater one size too big last night. Size I wanted was back in stock this morning. Customer service made the switch for me over the phone and got free shipping.
The Schoeller guide pants are also a killer deal. None in stock last night, XL's briefly available this morning.
I ordered one yesterday – then we got an EB catalog in the mail yesterday and the current version is shown as $169. I thought this was a luxury item, but at this price I had to order one.
if anyone has a small, not blue, that they'd like to get rid of, please pm me.
update: after about two weeks of chekcing back, i picked up a small/cardinal and a med/slate from the website on sept 7th. keep checking the website!
I wonder if it's just end of model year clearance or if they are scaling down their outdoor line? Either way, picked up a sweater and vest this morning. Considering I paid $90 for a Cloudveil 650-fill jacket 'on sale' last year, I'm pretty excited to get both of these for $85 bucks!
p.s.- If anyone has a medium vest/jacket they would like to sell(or trade for an XL), please let me know. Gotta think about the wife too I guess.
Ryan
ryan, what sizes were available this morning in the downlight sweater/vest? it seems that they restock a bunch of items overnight and that sometime in the morning is the time to hit it up. Did you see anything in L/L tall? Interested to see if I should make an early wake-up tonight to check the stocks.
Cheers,
Brendan
The sweater was available this morning in a Larg/Tall (Blue only). I didn't see any yesterday throughout the day. Grabbed one around 7:30am CST) and when I rechecked at 9:30m, Large/Tall was no longer an option.
Looks like I'll be returning the other one I ordered (XL tall) to a local EB store. Thank goodness they have a liberal return policy.
thanks ryan. I woke up in the middle of the night (3am PST) and no luck. It is a crapshoot haha.
Yeah may be a little late in the weekend. I had a lot of luck around that time on the 2nd, and 3rd.
No luck on the vests though.
Keep checking the website – I hadn't been able to find a vest in the several times I checked (ordered a jacket the other day though!) and they had large vests in black and brown both this morning, so I picked one up. I looked again later today and they appear to be out, so keep trying, you might get lucky!
I just went to my local EB store to see if I could find these great deals. They came up empty. BUT they did a great effort in checking their system and found BOTH the Downlight Sweater and the Igniter Pant (both in size L) at the Columbus Outlet store/warehouse.
If you call the outlet, you may have to ask them to check the warehouse (which is attached to the outlet store). Not everything in the warehouse apparently shows up in the stores inventory.
They checked the warehouse and honored the clearance price.
The phone number is (614) 278-9281.
Good luck!
I just got back from the EB outlet store in Columbus. They said they wouldn't match the website price since they are already an outlet. Their sale is only 50% of retail… so 1/2 of $169.99 (Not a good deal)
Anyways, I went over to the Easton retail store (also Columbus, Oh) and bought everything they had left. I'm not trying to make any money here, just passing it on to forum members.

Anyone know if they stocking the women's sizes in their retail stores? I'm just about geared out myself, but the GF could always score a good deal on winter gear. Thanks
