Hyperlite Mountain Gear is field testing a cuben hex cut hammock tarp right now, which will be similar to the Maccat deluxe in style. The target is 8oz, including all guy lines. He's now getting custom line-locs made that work with small diameter lines. I think it's going to be a very exciting product. We had an early prototype along on my recent backpacking trip. You can catch a glimpse of it at 9:55 into this video.

Mike – The brown looks nice, its too bad that its sil and not spinn tough. I have heard OES makes nice tarps, but the customer service has been less than desirable.

some, like my buddy andy who posted above you, have had a hard time tracking the mysterious Brian person down.. now that he is finished with college, he seems to be readily available.
in fact, the two times i used his services
a)i sent a few emails and never heard a thing back, so i took a leap of faith and paypal'd a payment, and 5 days later i got a tarp.
b)i sent a request for a custom job (the brown tarp) and recieved it a week later, however Brian said payment never came thru, so it was re-sent. seems a paypal glitch. all is well and ive not had any issues with OES or his shipping speed.
other than that, if spinn or cuben came in more sun-blocking colors id go for it. im not one to sleep well under full moon so i need darker..

That "breen" color in cuben looks pretty dark in comparison to the white or other colors i have seen. As for taking a leap of faith…..its hard to send someone my money if they dont take the time to get back to me. That being said the specs for the MacCat tarps are just what I was looking for….
