i may be wrong here so if i am please correct me but didn t we have a gear demo/loan list for anyone wanting to demo or needing loaner gear?? i know i loaned
a sleeping bag and a few others loaned other gear and im sure if folks were to dig in the gear closet they could list an item or two just in case someone was wanting to check it out before buying
can t remember if we had this for last years trip but im thinking we did something of that sort
please chime in with your thoughts im sure most everyone has thier own gear but

just a suggestion in case anyones interrested

looking foward to the trip will be without my son ryan this time :( but it will still be awesome
see everyone there

Yeah Kevin, Mark put it all on a Wiki kinda spreadsheet. I am not that computer literate to do something like that. Maybe if someone is willing to do something like that and provide a link for us to access that, then it would be cool. We still have plenty of time and I hope we can have something like that

Friendly bump.

LAST CHANCE TO SUGGEST AN ALTERNATIVE LOCATION. Damn. Ventana is a looong drive for me. Also the drive to the trailhead leaves something to be desired according to some here. Any other location suggested for the swap meet either. Think about it.

Don't forget to check out the Wiki page

Have a wonderful holiday season. Looking forward to seeing all the new/shiny gear, and all my extended BPL family.

Best wishes for a great 2011. See you somewhere in 70 days!

I'd love to carpool. I drive about 120miles a week and am sick of driving.

I live in San Leandro but can easily hop on BART to meet somewhere. I'll also help with the expenses, and I can leave Friday if need be.

Don't worry, I'm not a serial killer.

im starting to plan the trip since we have a very long drive

i will need directions from 101 north at paso robles and also

i need information on where we could camp somewhere close on thursday night

(assuming there will be a group hiking in to pine valley on friday morning correct??)

if so then due to the length of trip we will leave thursday night and camp somewhere close even if we have to drive a little ways on friday morning

the plan so far is to drive to 101 from lost hills then take the 101 north
then need directions from there

thanks guys
kevin

Hey I had an idea. Maybe we can park at the dams and hike into pine valley from there. I think that Tassahara road is going to be a killer for most cars. The trail from the dams crosses many streams coming from that direction so maybe someone that has gone that way could comment on the stream crossing that time of year. This alternate trail maybe a little longer also but we should be able to handle that. What do you guys think. Pine valley is a great choice for a large group.

Kevin. I plan on leaving my place on Thurs. also. Long drive for me as well. I'll make the coffee Friday.

Josh. Do you have a trailhead/trail name for the alternate route?

Josh, give me some more details about where you are talking about. I am all for changing it a little for the sanity of driving that road. You have driven it more than I have and you have a better idea of the area. I have been there once and that was in Feb. a few years ago

Are you talking about Arroyo Grande?????

Kevin, I have already given Jack directions to the trailhead
