Perhaps email the nice folks at Gossamer Gear and see if they'll sell you their 0.99 oz./yd² spinnaker for DIY projects? I would be surprised if they wouldn't.

Other than that, I think kitebuilder.com sells spinnaker but not I believe that not all spinnaker is create equal and depending on your intended purpose other materials may not be sufficiently waterproof.

Frederick, Do have a link to the right page. I looked there a while ago and did not see it there either. I too have been looking for some.

Ken if you scroll down, on their home page, until you find ultra lightweight fabrics. They sell Ultra-Sil Silicone Ripstop Nylon Fabric. It is double coated, wider, and lighter than sil nylon

Evan – Prolite Gear carries the same spinnaker that Gossamer Gear uses for their products

Yeah, thruhiker and prolite gear are both out of stock. I guess I will send gossamer an e-mail and see what they say. I'm looking for something waterproof. I would like to make a tarp…

However, 'UltraSil' may be less waterproof than 'silnylon'.

Cheers
