Haven't seen much about this tent on here. Anyone use/used it? What do people think about it?

Yes, I read the review. It's just a couple years old and I was interested in people who might have had them for a while or had a chance to compair them to a similar tent like the double rainbow.

We had one at Point Reyes last January. I think it belonged to Kevin Smith. Looked OK. Door seemed a little small.

I own one. It is very storm-proof and reasonably light.
Good for when the wind could get extreme.

The smallish door helps keep the bugs from coming in when you enter or exit.
The door size was the common complaint made by most people. I don't mind it at all.

I use it on solo kayak trips where being exposed to strong winds near shorelines can be an issue. It is big for one person, but I like to hang wet gear inside. I don't like putting wet clothing on under a drysuit.

The only reason I don't use it backpacking much is that my other shelters are roomier and lighter for their size and winds tend to be less of an issue away from shoreline.

I had often considered selling it and go with a lighter shelter for paddle trips, but still haven't decided.

What 2 person tents do you use when you backpack? I'm thinking about a TT double rainbow too. They seem similar but the rainbow is lighter. There is more to it then just compairing specs though you know.

Currently, my two person backpacking shelter has been an SMD Haven. The Haven and the Rainbow both have their advantages.

We did use a Rainshadow 2, but wanted a dual entry design and liked the smaller footprint of the Haven.

We did like the Rainshadow 2 otherwise.

My wife likes the Haven a lot. She felt the Crescent 2 was too cramped for the both of us and the single entry meant that one of us was crawling over the other when we got in or out.

I like the wind shedding ability of the Crescent 2. In fact, on one trip all the other shelters were deflecting and flapping, while the Crescent looked like it wasn't being hit by the wind at all.
This is the main reason I keep it as my solo paddle shelter.
