I am somewhat new to this website so I ask not to be critical but for information only. There are a number of items that I'd very much like to buy from BPL but they have been out of stock since the day I got here and continue to be out of stock. Not one or two items but quite a lot. Is this commonplace or have I arrived just before a restocking (which in and of itself would be odd and clearly a bad idea).

Thanks guys even though that was NOT the answer that I was hoping for. Very strange that BPL doesn't keep a minimum stock level of items though. I understand that stock on the shelf is money tied up and not producing but you can't sell what you don't have in the retail market. Oh well, my $400 will go somewhere else I suppose but I hope that BPL realizes that they are absolutely castrating their income by purposely not keeping all their designs available for purchase.

i believe they are more or less circumcising their income, not a full castration, but agree…they are missing out.

This is a struggle for us not only with our signature line of products but some of our third-party products as well. Some of our third-party manufacturers can't keep up with our demand and therefore those items are often out of stock. Those items which we can keep in stock are typically just that – in stock.

I feel the frustration, but there are many threads/ comments about out of stock gear.

Personally I wish everybody would lay off em for a while. The staff is WELL aware of the problem. I'm sure they want to be stocked up, but for whatever reason(s) they're not… They know they're losing profits. They know they are pi$$in off customers.

Obviously there are many reasons why it isn't stocked and we should all take it easy on them. They're trying. It not like they are spilling millions of barrels of oil into open water…

Well, if you put it that way… :)

I would not want to be working in public relations for a certain petroleum company right now. Also, fyi I have lots of fresh stock coming into the store next week. Thank you for your patience.
