Everyone seems to have at least one non-ultralight luxury item. For some it is the sleeping pad, others it's a backpack that just fits really well. Just curious what luxury or non-ultralight stuff people are splurging on.
May 4, 2010 at 9:22 pm #1606166Mini speakers for my IPOD and BEER!!!
May 4, 2010 at 9:38 pm #1606182101 Wild Turkey, and a 5.4 oz. 10 L. solar shower bag (multi-use: water carrier, washing dishes-hands-whole body, and for campfire security).
May 4, 2010 at 9:46 pm #1606188I'm not an ultralighter by any means – but outside of my pack the heaviest item I have is an Exped Synmat 7 DLX that weighs around 39 oz. That is my must have – I don't care how great I feel on the trail – if I don't sleep good it wasn't worth it.

May 4, 2010 at 10:17 pm #1606212AnonymousInactiveSleeping in a hammock over dwelling on the ground. Doubles my sleeping shelter weight, but I'm alright with that for a good night of sleep.
May 4, 2010 at 10:19 pm #1606214Beer and reading material.

May 4, 2010 at 10:26 pm #1606222Imagine the woman that has to buy an inflatable doll. On second thought, DON'T imagine that girl.
May 4, 2010 at 10:26 pm #1606224sort of begs the question as to the 'valve stem' to inflate….uughh..it's late.
May 4, 2010 at 10:31 pm #1606226Very packable — hardly takes up any pack space — and light too!
May 4, 2010 at 10:32 pm #1606229NEO air, Digital thermometer.
May 4, 2010 at 10:32 pm #1606230OK Ben, so you went to bed, then came back and had a pic of an inflatable doll?
May 4, 2010 at 10:34 pm #1606231I'm watching it right now. Just saying.
ETA – Back on topic. I carry a 1.3oz pillow by KookaBay.
May 4, 2010 at 10:37 pm #1606232Jeff:
