1) I put my 5×8 ID tarp in the bottom of the pack with no stuff sack.
2) The GG Bug Canopy with its lines attached gets packed the same way.
3) Stakes and guy lines get their own little sack.
4) My "bivy" is a Driducks poncho that I try to pack as tightly as possible towards the top of the pack. In bivy mode I tie one end similar to the modifications on the JRB website and use it as a water proof over quilt.
5) I slip a polycro groundcloth folded up somewhere in the folds of my sleeping pad.

Total weight of the system is hovering around 26.1 ounces according to my old postal scale. There's still room to easily shave a few ounces off and bring the weight down a little under 22 ounces.

Larry – Do you remove the guylines from your tarp every time you use it?

I wonder if that is common practice?

I leave them connected to the stakes and use a girth hitch to connect to the tarp quickly. I'm using nail stakes btw.

If I go to shepherd hooks and thin spectra cord I'd probably leave them attached to the tarp instead (that's the weight I was talking about shaving).

"Hey, Wallace, that sounds really cool. Have you thought about storing the Neo Air Inside the tent (Where it normally goes), and then rolling it up?"

@ Daniel Goldenberg

Actually I thought it over a bit… and the TT Moment is a slick little bugger. Rolling it up by itself it always wants to find a way to be SLICK! The Neo Air keeps that thing where it needs to be, plus gives me a firm material to crank that thing up into a tight roll… and then it goes into the stuff sack much more smoothly. IMO, this ist he best combo. I will try and get some pics tonight and post a new thread tomorrow showing my tecnique.
