Hey there,

I'm looking for sporty, lightweight and breathable everyday shoes (mainly for the warmer days).

And I've decided to go for trail running shoes – precisely I want to try inov-8. Because what I read sounds quite good.

But I'm not sure if they are good for this purpose: Everyday, as in cycling to work, photography walks, short hikes, running if I don't take my running shoes with me..

Right now I'm looking at:
– f-lite 320
– roclite 295

Not sure if I should look for Gore Tex or not..

Any thoughts?

Will never waste money on the "waterproof" Goretex again. Get truly breathable!

For me gor-tex has it's place (for me as my winter/snow shoes, with light gaiters) but in warm weather my thoughts would be to avoid! You'll sweat and there'll be no way out for the amount of moisture you'll generate.

Inov8 shoes are great, and I am sure they will not disappoint you if you chose to go for a pair.

alright, so I'll skip goretex :)

can anyone comment on the shoes above? not sure if they are suitable for this (asphalt, etc)

good to hear :)

but soo many choices…
what are the differences regarding "everyday" use as I mentioned?

Last spring I was commuting 10 miles a day in the f-lite soles, and was pleased with the shoes.

I would not recommend the roclite soles for urban use, they will not last, the lugs will fall off. I prefer the roclite soles for trail use.

Totally agree, these are not for asphalt use! They lack protection and the soles will wear out quickly if used on asphalt.

alright, thats what I wanted to hear :)

actually, instead of the f-lite mentioned above, I meant the terroc 330, copy and paste mistake

I wear Terrocs as everyday sneakers in town. I'm happy with them for that purpose. The treads have held up well.
