Hey guys,

Just got home tonight from doing the first 5 sections of the CT and it was great! the weather was fine other then some rain in the beginning but, all went well. I did bruise my toe the last day but, my fiancee picked me up at Kenosha pass this afternoon. The trail is dry up until about 10K feet in the Lost Creek Wilderness area but, the snow was only ankle deep in most places. I will post some pics soon.

Update: here is a link to the video I put together for sections 1-3, my camera fell out of my pocket getting water so I killed it but, atleast I could recover this. Its my first time doing this so I hope you enjoy!!!

Thanks for sharing, it looks like it was a great trip! I particularly like the beginning: "There goes my lady, leaving me at the trail head"

Sweet!
I'm taking my son next month. We'll probably do sections 3 thru 8 or 9. Am really looking forward to it.

Hope you can post the photos soon.

I enjoyed your report. That burn section didn't seem like it has recovered much, or maybe it was just the time of the year.

Maybe it was the time of year. That Buffalo Creek Fire happened in 1996, and should be well on its way to recovery.

When I was working the Hayman recovery, we often passed through this area along the highway. From what I saw during the summer, the grasses were taking off. That was in 2002.
