The top of Koshan Gedik (anglicised spelling = Running Pass) into the mountains from the south (approximately 2960 metres).

Karagol (Blacklake). There are many Karagols in Turkey, including 2 in the Bolkar.

Alisha Cukuru (Alisha Depression/Hole). Medetsiz, the highest peak in the eastern Bolkar at a little over 3500 metres is the pointed summit in the background.

The rock buttress looks like Clyde Minaret, with Lake Cecile below it, and Iceberg Lake at the bottom.

"Kennedy Lake on the PCT after Sanora Pass: SUL"

Nice looking country. I've never been up there, and it makes me want to visit.

Breche de Rolande

Weminuche Wilderness, Colorado (There's a good chance I'm spelling that wrong).

This was my first hike in real mountains. I knew literally nothing.

Awesome photo, Peter!
Jay, your photos of Humphreys Basin & Darwin Canyon are amazing!
And Roger, your Hornli Ridge photos…whew!
And Billy Ray, I think I'm going to explode with that photo of the Minarets!!

I wish I could comment on everybody's, but y'all get the point. ;)

In the name of mountains (albeit not above treeline), I'll include a couple of my own:

The village of Kalambaka, Greece, sitting beneath Meteora–

Camping in Tomasso-Natale, Sicily on a small peninsula with the Mediterranean surrounding us on three sides and these towering mountains on the fourth side. Just amazing–
