I got my Rainshadow 2 in the mail today, wow is this thing cool. It arrived at work and I weighed it on the postage scale – 42oz as promised.
Got home and set it up, it took about 5 minutes to figure out what I was doing and it is pretty straight forward.
One thing that I'm not sure I'm doing right is the beak, it isn't as tensioned as the rest of the body and it looks too far off the ground.
After reading a bit about putting the TarpTents back into the stuff sack I was a bit worried. But I was surprised that this was the easiest take-down and storage of any tent I have ever used.
I ended up playing with it for an hour or so, trying different poles, stake placement and positions, lots of things to work out before I head up to the hills. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or pointers that they can share about the Rainshadow 2?
