> Maybe one of them is the Sublite2. A Sublite with a screen door.

That's coming next week when the new production run finishes up. No change to the "Sublite" name.

I want to make sure I''m reading this correctly. Are you saying there is a Sublite 2 coming next week, or are you saying the current model "Sublite 1" is coming out with screen door modification next week? Your comment could be read both ways…

I'm standing in line for his 4-person! Can't wait to see what he is going to come up with…

Henry, Can't you give us all a sneak peak? You're killing us!!! :-)

There are photographers who do nothing but go around trying to take pictures of the new car models that are coming out in a few years, you'd think one guy could do that with outdoor gear. Maybe we should talk to Henry's neighbor, have him peek over the fence now and then with a camera.

Joe,
I'm on it. I've got a friend who lives in Nevada City and owes me big. I Google Mapped her Henry's address.

Re. new car models: In the early "80s I lived in Sedona and was walking past the car wash. There were two little sports cars waiting for a wash. I walked up and asked the driver "What kind of car is this?" He didn't even look up, just rolled up his window.

The next year out came the Pontiac Fiero.

Shhhhh….I am right outside the factory now, hiding in the shrubs with my D60….

Cannot zoom close enough with Google Earth, but the new shelters appear to be grey in colour. I hope that this helps in the meantime.

Damn it man! I'm trying to quit buying gear. Why does Henry keep making great new products? I can't use but one of them at a time.

Not to mention Brian at ULA. Will they ever stop tempting us with new sweet pieces of gear.

Robert,

The economy is in the toilet. It's up to us, the end users, to keep the cottage industries that feed our addiction alive and well. Cowboy up and do your part.

It's official !
The US version will be gray, the International version will be ship out in grey. (To conform to EU standards)
Robert I feel your pain.
I was happy with the Rainbow, then I received the Contrail, now I am waiting for the Sublite Tyvek Vista (with mesh door) but have been thinking that the sil version would be good in any condition here. I am happy that neither of the two new shelters are another solo version.
ULA
I use the Circuit and the AMP but that Ohm looks very tempting, I might have to get a job to feed the habit.
If nothing else, we both have good taste.
Good point Denis.

Haha! I know a few details about the new 2 person tent… but who am I to spoil the surprise? Suffice to say the preliminary specs are exactly what I have been looking for in a 2 person tent. This tent is going to be very popular.

Henry says: "That's (the new Sublite) coming next week when the new production run finishes up. No change to the "Sublite" name.

I think Franco's idea for the name, "Sublite Vista", is just great. Here in the BPL underground we'll know Sublite as the original and Sublite Vista as the new, improved, version.

Henry, if you're listening, are you going to ADZPCTKO this year?

Cottage gear makers, keep the new models coming. Some of us are happy to take your end users old toys off their hands so they can afford the new ones.

I try to do my part. I have the Squall 2, Rainbow, Contrail and Scarp 1. Had the Squall. Sold it to get the Squall 2. As for ULA. I have the Relay, Conduit, Circuit, Catalyst and my Ohm came yesterday. Can't wait to use it. These two companies are definitely my favorite of the cottage companies.

SELL A TENT? That would be like selling one of my kids. No, my tents might bring a higher price.

Franco, help me out here. They're after our tents. Man the watchtowers.

Denis
Recently, in my quest for minimisation, I sold my car camping tent, but I never counted that as part of my arsenal. I did give away another one some months ago, so I am temporarily under 10 . But yes selling tents would be like selling your children. You may let someone else take care of them, but you should be able to see them again every so often.
Now with the financial problems those children may not want to leave home.
Robert
We expect a report soon. (comparing it with your other ULA's)

Sir, you have a problem. A good problem to have, but nonetheless a problem. Are you married and if so, how do you get this past your wife? I must know.

My response was what Ben2World would have done.
Sadly now that he has gone I posted that in his memory.
May he have a good time wherever he is.
