We are super psyched today! In an effort to bring BPL philosophy to the masses in an undiluted form, we're thrilled to report that the first major retailers to pick up the print magazine are B&N and Borders, and we've had our first confirmed sighting at the Flagstaff Barnes & Noble, with a primo placement next to NGA:

(as shot with Don Wilson's iPhone:)

So, maybe for those folks that haven't yet seen the new look of the mag (full color and higher quality), see if your local B&N or Borders carries it, or (better) — tell your local outdoor shop!

It pays to be short – they have to put it on the front row!

ahem… don't take that the wrong way, this comment comes from someone who lies when he says he's 5'8" :)

Awesome news, Ryan!

Congratulations to the rest of the BPL team on this auspicious milestone.

Nice! What a contrast between BPL and NGA (in a good way). A good issue to start with, too. Way to go BPL!

Great news Ryan,

Is it going to be sold I Australia, we need some help to sell the lightweight philosophy.

Your book Lightweight Backpacking and Camping would do well off the shelves here also.
