I am so fortunate and blessed to have spent 14 days in the backcountry with my oldest son. Our young people CAN do hard things and not just succeed but thrive, we HAVE to give them opportunities to do it…

Great Trip and thanks for the report. The first day hike is brutal not just the distance/elevations but the crowds of people. Your son is a trooper!

awesome and thanks for sharing. Always special being out there with your children, young or older, its just so special. And to give them these kind of experiences, even if they decide to never do it again, at the very least you gave them a special opportunity to see mother natures gift to us.
