stool?

Well, it's not UL, but since I have it along anyway…..my Bear Vault.

I have been carrying this chair for years. There is a knock-off by Crazy Creek that is very heavy and I don't recommend it but the Sling-Light provides comfort and weighs about 19 oz.

I love that chair…worth the weight. Doesn’t come often enough with me….I can sleep in it.

I'm confident I will really miss my Thermarest Trekker Chair, if at some stage I decide to start leaving it at home.

At 302g it's not exactly light, but it's not particular heavy either.

I have only used it with self inflating sleeping pads though, and I just decided to switch to closed cell pads in order to cut on my weight.

My initial experiments does however show that it can even be used without a pad, but not without reducing it's comfort quite a bit.

If a decent comfort is maintained with a closed cell pad, it stays in my backpack.

Unless of course somebody on this board posts a really cool 38g chair, which doubles as toothbrush or something :)

I have been looking at this chair for some time. I have neck problems and would need the head rest and wondered if anyone has had this option on your chair? Does it really suport your head or does it slip?

Yep, have it. Love it. Takes a bit to get used to attaching it but once you figure it out…
And the head rest is why I can sleep in my chair!

I have a headrest, and it works great. But… I usually leave it at home. I'm 5'-9", and if I slouch down in my Sling Light and fold my fleece jacket for a pillow it works ok. I've taken a nap using this method.

The Crazy Creek Cradle Lounder is 26oz as weighed on my scale. I recently purchased two of them new in package off of Craigslist for $60 shipped.

Given the fact that the lowered price of the Slinglight is $89.99 shipped and 22oz with the headrest I feel ok carrying the extra 4oz.

Note: I have not seen or sat in the Slinglight but I will say that the CC knockoff is visually identical and so much more comfortable than my old GCI Pack Seat (a collapsable stool that also weighs 26oz).

the crazy site list the following specs:
Chair: 36" x 16" x 19.5"; 23 oz./ 91 x 41 x 50 cm; 748 gr.
Headrest: 16" x 14.5"; 3 oz./ 41 x 37 cm; 85 gr.

although the combined listed wt is 26 oz, the gram wt calculates to 30 ozs. Regardless, the sucker is heavy when picking it up.

Made here in the US, supporting a local person. When my husband bought me mine he talked to the owner even. That makes a few bucks more worth it.

Jeff, I haven't found a pile high enough to be used as a chair, though you wouldn't have to carry any weight! lol
