Chris Townsend Joins BPL’s Editorial Team

Hello Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce that Chris Townsend has joined Backpacking Light's editorial team as our Senior Gear Editor.

Chris brings a wealth of experience, outstanding writing, and an uncanny ability to distill the complexity of gear and apparel systems into a style that is easily understandable, interesting, and objective.

It will take a little time to bring Chris up to speed with our editorial process, but we're really looking forward to being able to offer a VERY exciting gear & apparel review calendar in 2008 and beyond with Chris at the helm!

Chris isn't just one of the most clued-up gear writers out there; as someone who worked (and occasionally shared a beer or a wild camp) with him over 13 years, he's also a jolly nice chap, or, as the Americans might say, "a real swell guy". Congrats to Chris, and to BPL for signing up one of the good guys!
