Northern Lites are Overweight ?

Or a measured weight any of the Northern Lites?

Greg, my Quicksilver 25's weigh 39.6 oz. for the pair. I bought them nine years ago, though. It's possible that Northern Lites has made changes in the model since then.

I have a pair of Northernlites snowshoes (the Backcountry model in gray) that were purchased within the past few months. My Backcountry model weighs 1347-1348 grams according to my Sunbeam Model SB5 digital scale. For the right foot, the weight is 674 grams; for the left foot, the weight is 673 grams.

Assuming I have a correct conversion rate for grams/oz (28.4 grams/ounce), the total weight is 47.465 oz.

At the Northernlites website, the weight for a pair of Backcountry snowshoes is described as 43 ounces, or about 4.5 ounces less than the pair I have.

So, I guess my Backcountry snowshoes weigh a "bit" greater than 10% more than advertised — a quarter of a pound more.

Maybe I'm missing something, though. Hope so.

Two pairs of Northern Lite Elites I have access to weight 36oz and 38oz. The website lists them as weighting 36oz.

My Backcountry Rescues come in at 44.9 oz for the pair. They weigh an identical 22.45oz each. I think they are spec'd @ 43?
