There are a few more slots left for the Mass Drop sale of Borah Gear's new Snowyside 2, with a sil-poly floor and eVent top. Have a question in about whether the eVent is 2 or 3 layer (original Snowyside was 3 layer, I think), and whether the sil-poly is vulnerable to breakdown over time from exposure to moisture the way older urethanes were, but the price is good, and Borah generally makes a very good bivy.

Under the Specs section, it lists the top as 3 layer event. Great price. About $129 all in. Thanks for sharing
Also, here's a reply from John at Borah: The eVent is 3-layer, so it's durable stuff. The silpoly is completely waterproof, and actually has a higher hydrostatic head than even Shield silnylon (top of the line sil). No degradation or smell.
I wonder if it’s a silpoly from RBTR. Pretty encouraging response from John. Looks like a great product. link
Anyone want to report how these are working out for them? I couldn’t resist the Black Friday sale and have one on order. All reviews I have come across are for older versions.
I had ordered one before the mass drop and managed to try it out last night on the deck. Â http://radiantenergy.org/2015/12/09/2015-12-11-borah-gear-snowyside-2-event-bivy/
