Yes bet a single dose gives more UV than actually needed
How will you get the Steripen to work with a Smartwater bottle? I think the opening is too narrow to work with any of the Steripen models
They have a couple of models that work with water bottles

It's the Journey model and is my favorite Steripen. Thanks folks, Just didn't want some of the water near the top to be untreated.
Todd. Do you invert your bottle and swirl it around?
Ken is entirely correct — think of it as The James Bond method (shaken, not stirred)… Jam the Steripen into the bottle's opening, twist slightly to get a good seal, then invert and swirl the liquid around for the full 90 seconds of UV. Ahhhhhh, yummy water!
