Lightweight Backpacking News: Digest No. 26

Of course REI will be open Saturday and Sunday. So much for a four day weekend.

Can I offer some constructive criticism? I feel like these digests have been getting longer and longer, and a lot of it is just linking to mediocre articles from around the web. Much of this isn't "news," it's just blogspam. There's some good stuff in there (trip reports, in particular), but none of us need another "10 steps to Ultralight" article reminding us to cut the big three and take less stuff. My advice: stick to original, interesting content, and be a little harsher about cutting the rest. Quality over quantity.
