BPL Winter Meetup Michigan (December)

Long time no see.

Hope all is well.

Hey guys, I just saw this thread. My wife and I were doing a little backpacking in Pic. Rocks this fall. It was beautiful!!! I’ve been to Hoist Lks in winter and I’ve hiked Manistee. They’d both be great locals for a winter hike or backpack.

I can’t do much this month but I’d be interested in months following for winter meetups. Keep us posted.

Both Manistee and Hoist Lakes are places I visit a lot, very nice.

Winter?  It’s 63 here in SW Michigan.

Any interest in doing a full moon winter hike in the snow if we get some this winter.

It’s more like summer at the moment.

Winter arrived finally, temps of 5 to 10f most nights here, half a foot of snow on the ground.

We definitley must get a Bpl meet going before spring, I am not going to bother with a new thread, just reply here if interested.

I’d be interested in meeting up now that I’m unemployed as of Monday.  Going to Maine Feb. 3-10, but after that I’m game.  Just ordered snowshoes for Maine, so I’m ready for whatever.

I just did a bushcraft meet up at hoist lake area last weekend.  Enjoyed getting out.  Ready to go again

I will have to do a different weekend, also I am not pushed about winter camping by myself.

I’m just waiting for a date.

I picked up a Paris expedition sled from ski pulk and should have my seek outside Cimarron with stove today.  I’ll be up at hoist lake this Sunday thru Tuesday.  Hopefully there’s some snow left.   Looks like we are going to have another warm weekend.

Unfortunately I have to cancel the 11th due to another commitment.

Seems like it might be a spring trip.

I bet Hoisthe lakes will still have plenty of space snow this weekend
